4 good looking lads

19th June 2011

Have had Grandad Ward here earlier in the month and then he went out to Narelles for a couple of weeks.
Just picked him up yesterday from there. Had a lovely drive out there, had some beautiful keylime cake, scones with jam and cream. Rals a great cook. Has a lovely home with pink stuff everywhere. Love it.
Makes me want to get in and decorate here in a shabby shic way.
Dad goes home on Wednesday by train. We enjoy having him here. He gave me a little diary today that my Grandmother wrote in 1955. It was all about a car trip to Victoria they had to visit the grave of her youngest son Les. Tis a very much to the point, cost of fuel and where they stayed and what they ate, type of journal.

Michael turns 23

Well it was Michaels birthday last week. 23 and on his mission. Thankful for some wonderful families who took the time to take care of him and give him some birthday food and cake.
Sent him some money to get his licence back, if he does it will be the best birthday present ever for him. He has to sit for a theory and drive for a practical so we will see how he goes.
He is doing well although the members, he says are a little disappointing. I keep telling him to love love love the people.
He must be due for a transfer soon anyway.
Been out 7 months now. Wow time flies.

BECOMING GRANDMA LAMMI

Sunday 19th June 2011

IM GOING TO BE A GRANDMA. Yep 30th January. 2012.
How exciting, cant wait. The only sad thing is, Josh and Emily live in Toowoomba, we live in Bundaberg. 4 hours away. :(
Went for a visit down there last weekend and spent 4 days there.
Had to stop off to look at a house south of Murgon (house for removal) and whilst I was sitting in the car staring at an old dilapidated shed I saw this big old manderine tree out of the corner of my eye. Filled with manderines.
When I got to it through 2 foot of long grass I saw that it had a passionfruit vine loaded with fruit growing right through the middle of it.
Then I looked up and saw a pawpaw tree loaded with pawpaws.
I felt like I was in the garden of eden there for a while.
Anyway we got to (Gary, Jesse and I) and robbed the tree/vine of some of its fruit.
Well it was going to go to waste anyway as nobody was living there. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience of free fruit in the middle of nowhere. :)
